Suesan A. Miller completed her undergraduate work at Concord College in Athens West Virginia, receiving two Bachelor's degrees, one in Travel Industry/Hospitality Management and the other in Political Science. Suesan was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority, President of the Greek Counsel, belonged to the Society for Advanced Management, 4-H and the Phi Lamda Academic Honor Society.
Suesan attended law school at Western New England College in Springfield Massachusetts. During her time in law school she was on the Student Bar Association, member of the International Moot Court team and started the Public Interest Law group for students who wanted to work in areas social services, legal aid, state departments that work with the poor. Students in the Public Interest Law group donated their time over the summer to serve in these areas. Six students each year now get paid internships through the program. Job History Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation: Two years of volunteer work researching various issues dealing with rights of people with mental challenges. Helped clients integrate from a state system to independent living in group situations. Assisted clients with various legal issues including criminal charges, wills and estate planning, social security and discrimination. Massachuesetts Department Against Discrimination: One year of volunteer work representing clients in issues including Gender bias, Discrimination based on sexual orientation, and disability claims. While volunteering, Suesan mediated several cases to a resolution for her clients. Suesan successfully received out of court settlements for all of her clients involving Domino's Pizza, Wal-mart and Lowes for unfair practices. Since relcoating to Georgia Law Office of Fredericak McLam, Decatur Employment discrimination focusing on age discrimination. Law Office of David Pollan, Buckhead Elder Law Firm: Worked directly with clients in estate planning, special needs trusts and various issues with Medicaid. Law Office of Ricky W. Morris, Jr. P.C., McDonough Criminal defense firm: Represented clients in various courts in the south metro Atlanta area. Cases involved death penalty, murder, rape, child molestation, drug crimes, DUI, and various misdemeanor and juvenile offenses.
